Heading into Quarter 4 of 2021 with a V2 token, an upcoming ETH bridge, and staking capabilities on the way is a dream come true.

The contents of this update will help you get a better idea of how staking will work in our “DoFi” ecosystem, catch up on the V2 launch, learn more about our partners on the Polygon Network, and give a one-stop-shop to access articles, AMAs, and other events you may have missed.

It’s spooky season, which means we’ll be showing up to parties with a little extra… pizazz.

“Heeeere’s Dogira!”

Understanding the DoFi Ecosystem

Dogira AMA #10 / Developer Fireside Chat (October 1st, 2021)

On one of our most recent AMAs (which you can view above), we were asked to unpack how our DeFi ecosystem will work when it’s live and full-featured. You can watch the section for this above — approximately 11:15 in the video — or read the explanation here:

Our “DoFi” platform is designed to merge multiple blockchain gaming tokens and economies under the Dogira banner. However, our intention is to NOT have Dogira be the primary token for these games.

The fact of the matter is it could be catastrophic for multiple games to share the same currency, especially in the play-to-earn space. Instead, we see Dogira tokens as the common thread between an assortment of fully functional tokens designed to work for the game economies they fuel.

Some games will find inflationary solutions to manage their economies, while others may seek a deflationary one. We want to make sure that Dogira’s price movement isn’t directly impacted by them, and vice versa. This is why Dogira will eventually function as a trading token, where Game X’s token could be paired with Dogira to stake and earn rewards.

Likewise if you’re playing Sushi Slayer Blitz* and you’re also an avid fan of Purveyor of the Crystal Banana*, Dogira will be the common currency that $SSBF and $PCBD can swap between. By doing this, you can cut down on (the already nominal) gas fees of the Polygon network to move your assets where you like.

It’s our belief that Dogira as a utility token must provide a solid infrastructure for other projects to thrive. In short, our token should become the “gold standard” of a network filled with incredible games.

In case it wasn’t clear, neither of these games are real. But hey… they sound fun, right?

Reflecting on V2 Launch

Last month we deployed our V2 token with relative ease and great success! We had expected a much longer airdrop time, but it was completed in minutes.

That’s the Polygon Network’s speed difference for you. Within that time we were able to get liquidity up on four different DEXs (decentralized exchanges), and began the switchover process with our CEXs (centralized exchanges).

DEXs

ApeSwap | QuickSwap | SushiSwap | PolyCat

We’ve been quite fortunate to have such great DEXs to host our token, especially in PolyCat and ApeSwap. Both have shown up big for us through partnerships and supporting us as we acclimate to the Polygon Network.

PolyCat has also provided a number of interesting opportunities for us to pursue staking and farming that you can read about later on.

We’re also in the process of creating video guides that will help you understand where to buy Dogira, and in the future how to stake and farm it.

If you want to learn how to buy MATIC on the Polygon Network (as opposed to the Ethereum version) or bridge your ERC-20 MATIC check out these videos:

CEXs

WhiteBit recently resumed trading and completed their V2 airdrop, while HotBit is still completing their end of the process. If you’re a non-US citizen, WhiteBit may be the best CEX option for you at this time.

China has experienced a few Holiday weeks recently which has hampered the work HotBit needs to do to resume trading on their end. We’ll keep you apprised of the trading situation with HotBit as soon as we have word that their airdrop is coming.

In either case, DEXs are still the quickest way to get your Dogira without needing to KYC (know your customer) or verify your identity.

Staking Pools

Dogira is currently available on two different staking platforms, CRYSTL Finance and PolyCat. Both platforms offer some generous APR on staking with two different configurations each.

CRYSTL offers a Dogira/MATIC LP option that will currently net you ≅155% APR if you choose it. You can also single stake CRYSTL to earn Dogira at ≅218% APR. In either case, these pools and LP opportunities are extremely generous.

Be sure to take the time to research these functions so you understand the risks and rewards of staking or providing LP.

PolyCat offers a Dogira/MATIC LP with ≅65% APR if you’re looking for some stable earning potential! Utilizing the PolyCat tank, you can single stake their PAW token and earn Dogira at a staggering ≅300% APR.

Once again, we are quite thankful for our partners at PolyCat and CRYSTL for such a warm welcome to their communities and ecosystems.

What You May Have Missed…

September and the beginning of October were quite fast paced for us. In the span of a few weeks we landed at three digital conventions, were hosted on a slew of AMAs, and had some decent opportunities to share our project with large audiences.

Getting the Word Out There

Chainlink recently held an AMA with us, and has another scheduled for this week. The first discussion with them was on Twitter Spaces, while the next one is a text-based AMA to be hosted on Wednesday, October 13th at 1 pm EST (5 pm UTC). We’ll be sitting down with them and having an in-depth conversation about Dogira and what we’re aiming to bring to the world of gaming and DeFi!

Join their TG ahead of the AMA by clicking here.

We’ll also be joining Clubhouse for the first time for an AMA with “Crypto After Dark” on Friday, October 15th at 9 pm EST (1 am UTC).

Join Clubhouse and schedule the AMA in your calendar here

Over on Crypto Daily, we got a shout in their piece Indie Game Developer Seeks To Redefine Blockchain Gaming. It profiles Eoghan’s accomplishments and the team’s overall ambitions to bring about a blockchain gaming revolution!

Check it out right here.

Conventions

Joining in the virtual chaos that was PolyCon, DygyCon, AND Game On! was the perfect way to meet interested investors, curious thinkers, and promising Polygon projects. The best part? These conventions were literally video games! Each enabled you to build your own avatar and run around talking with other people who were attending.

Skyler Ramsey, CMO with Dogira talks with Lisa Ma of HUB and Bowie Lau of MaGEHold at the GAMEON! Convention.

At PolyCon we had a booth and facilitated conversation at their Blockchain Gaming Panel. The DygyCon booth afforded us the chance to network with some awesome people and chat directly with folks about Dogira. Then at Game On we were given a spotlight during the VIP Roundtable.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated about any digital conventions coming in the near future, along with ticket information!

That’s all from us this time.
